Acupuncture Point: Yin Tang

English Name: Hall of Impression

Yin Tang is a popular point commonly used in acupuncture treatments. It is located at the forehead, at the midpoint between the two medial ends of the eyebrow. It treats frontal headache, nasal congestion, sinus problems, and delivers great results in calming the spirit, and treating insomnia, stress, and anxiety.

In the Chakra System, Yin Tang overlaps with the 6th Chakra, or Brow Chakra, more popularly known as the "third eye".  It is an area of the body that relates to wisdom, putting our experiences in perspective, and the ability to see the “big picture.”  Patients needled on this point often report feeling a renewed calm with a sense of clarity.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Participating Yogis who want to be needled on Yin Tang must sign a "Consent to Treat" form prior to the event and must be aware that minor bruising might occur on the needling site. You can read and download the detailed consent form here.
